  4. How do I change my email address?

The easiest method is to create a new account by sharing an album with yourself.  You will receive a new user welcome email.  Sign on to the Publisher with this new email address and re-publish any albums you want.  Your old email address will expire automatically after a few months of inactivity.

  5. How do I fix single picture?

If you haven't Uploaded the images yet, the easiest method is to select the Context Menu icon ContextIcon next to the image you want to change and either remove it or rotate it.  See this menu will appear:

    Drafts Context Menu

If the album has already been Published, then you can replace an existing image with another one.  First, select the photo you want to replace by selecting its Context Menu icon ContextIcon.  Then select Open from the menu.  This screen will appear:

    Image Open Form

Select the [Replace Image] button and follow the prompts.

  6. How do I unshare an album?

Manage your share is an important feature in eXaPhoto.  To remove a recipient from an album, select the album's Context Menu icon ContextIcon.  This menu will appear:

    Manage Sharing

Select Manage Sharing (advanced) and this form will appear:

    Manage Sharing Form

Highlight the recipient you want to revoke, and press the [Revoke] button to "unshare" the album.

  7. I created an album, but I don't see any pictures?

eXaPhoto uses an agent, eXaAgent which processes images and uploads them in the background while you work on other tasks on your PC.  This makes publishing 1000's of images very fast.  However, it might take a minute or two of the images to start to appear in your browser or in the Publisher.  Simply press [F5], the browser's refresh button, or the refresh button Refresh icon in the Publisher and your images should appear.

  8. How do I tell if anyone has viewed my album?

Select the album's Context Menu icon ContextIcon.  This menu will appear:

    Manage Sharing

Select Manage Sharing (advanced) and this form will appear:

    Manage Sharing Form

The "Hits" column indicates the number of views of the album from different users.

If you created a Web Address for the album, then you need to select Manage Web Addresses from the context menu and you will see this form which shows the different "hits" on each URL you have created:

    Manage Web Addresses

  9. How do I remove an album?

Select the album's Context Menu icon ContextIcon.  This menu will appear:

    Album Context Menu

Select Remove this Album and confirm the operation.

  10. Why can't I share an album that I just created?

Probably you set the option to disallow further sharing of the album when it was created with the Album Creation Wizard.  See this Album Security and Options form:

    Album Security

If the "Allow this album to be sent to others..." is not checked, even the owner can not share it.

  11. How do I add or change a photo's description or name?

Select the photo you want to edit by selecting its Context Menu icon ContextIcon.  Then select the Change Name, Description or Rating menu item:

    Photo Menu

Then at this form, edit the image's information:

    UpdateAsset

  12. Can I publish images from a camera or flash disk?

Because the eXaAgent needs to work independently and in the background of the eXaPhoto Publisher, you will need to copy the photos first to a fixed disk (like your C: drive) on your computer before you can Publisher them.

  13. How do I set an album's cover image?

Open the album you want to work with.

Select the photo you want to assign as the new album cover.  Select its Context Menu icon ContextIcon.  This menu will appear:

    Change Album Cover

Select "Set as Album Cover" menu item, and it will be the new album cover.  You will need to hit Refresh to see the changes.

  14. How do rearrange the pictures in an album?

You can rearrange the order of pictures before they are uploaded using the Publisher.  These albums are located in the Drafts section of your Album Collection.

Simply open the "Drafts" album up, and you can drag and drop the images around.  The images will appear online in the same order you have them in the Publisher.

  15. Why are my albums grouped by Drafts, Uploaded, Uploaded (from other computers), and Received?

Drafts are albums that have not been Uploaded to the server.  These are works in progress and are only available on the PC you are working on right now.  Draft albums can not be shared until they are uploaded by pressing the [Upload Upload] button.

Uploaded are albums you own and have uploaded from the PC you are at currently.  You have most control over these albums, you can add additional images, make sub-albums, share these albums, etc.

Uploaded (from other computers) are other albums you own, but these were uploaded from different computers.  These you can share, but you can't add images or make sub-albums from the PC you are at now.

Received albums are those that others have shared with you.  You can remove these albums, share them again, open the album, and even block the sender from sending photos to you again.

  16. How do I use eXaPhoto with my mobile?

You can view your albums in a very compact form, by pointing your mobile browser to either:

                                  gjpt.com or exanw.com

You can publish images directly to an album via email or MMS from your mobile device.  First you need to create an "Email Alias" to your web album.

For example, you can create an album called Roman Holiday,  share this blank album with your friends and relatives, then while you are on vacation, simply MMS pictures to this album from your mobile phone and they can see all the fun you are having.

To get started, select the album you want to use (it doesn't have to contain any pictures.)  Select the album's Context Menu icon ContextIcon.  This menu will appear:

    Email Alias

Select the "Manage Album Email Aliases" menu item, and this form will appear:

    Email Aliases Form

Press the [Create New] button and fill out the prompts.  You can send a test email to this album, which makes it easy to capture the album's email address and add it to your mobile device's contact list.  From there, just take pictures and send them to this email address.  They will appear in your album.
